Message from our Chair

As I sit here writing the first entry for the TanenbaumCHAT alumni webpage, I'm forced to reflect on my years at TanenbaumCHAT. Without a doubt, they had a very strong impact on my life. It was at TanenbaumCHAT where I met my life partner, chose my career path, made my best friends, and learned the value of community.

When I was asked to come back to TanenbaumCHAT and become involved as the Alumni Chair, I viewed it as both an honour and a responsibility. It is only now that I am an adult, with children of my own; that I see TanenbaumCHAT is so much more than just a school. It is an institution that guides young adults to become socially responsible, well educated members of the Jewish community who have been given lifelong skills to carry themselves wherever they may go.

TanenbaumCHAT is an extended family and like any family, it requires nurturing in order to grow. The time, effort and energy that I have been giving to TanenbaumCHAT, in order to help establish a solid alumni association, will help the school continue as both a leader in the academic world as well as continue being the extended family for the coming generations. Alumni involvement is the perfect way to ensure that our community continues to have the benefit of this unique type of school.

Looking forward to celebrating 50 years of TanenbaumCHAT education.

Chazak Chazak V'Nitchazek.

Best,
Jen Lev, class of '89
