Kathryn Balter '04

Kathryn Balter ’04 is a partner in Fogler, Rubinoff LLP's Wills and Estates group. Her practice is focused on helping clients achieve their estate-planning goals by providing advice on wills, trusts, the transfer of assets, powers of attorney, and estate administration. She works in partnership with her clients to help them navigate complex matters and to protect and plan for the transfer of their personal assets. Kathryn is active in the estates and trusts bar, frequently speaking at Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and public-facing educational programs. Kathryn is the past chair of the OBA Executive for trusts and estates law. Kathryn is also a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).

Mitchell Rattner '08

Mitchell Rattner ’08 is a partner with Schnurr Kirsh Oelbaum Tator LLP. He practices primarily in the areas of estate, trust, and mental incompetency litigation. He also advises clients on matters of estate administration and planning, and works as preferred counsel for LawPRO on matters of professional negligence with respect to estate and trust issues. Mitchell is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Executive for Trusts and Estates Law. Mitchell is the current editor of Estate Litigation, 2nd Edition, and has written several papers and presented on estate and guardianship litigation. Mitchell is also a Director of a community not-for-profit organization.
