TanenbaumCHAT is excited to welcome all incoming Grade 9 Parents for an opportunity
to get to know the TanenbaumCHAT community.

Tuesday, September 22, 2026
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
200 Wilmington Ave

RSVP by Monday, September 14, 2026

The evening includes:

  • A warm welcome for Grade 9 families to meet our staff, Board, leadership team, and fellow parents.
  • Insights into how to get involved at TanenbaumCHAT as a parent.
  • A keynote address by Emma Fogel, a Registered Social Worker, and the Practice Director of Emma Fogel Therapy Services, a psychotherapy clinic, specializing in working with paediatrics, adolescents and families. Emma is a Cognitive Behavioural, Dialectical Behavioural and SPACE-Trained Therapist, with additional certifications in Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and paediatric grief.

During her address, parents will learn practical emotional management strategies to reduce accommodation and avoidance, with the goal of promoting autonomy in their teenagers, through their time in high school. The session will also briefly explore technology’s role in your child's emotional well-being, with guidance for establishing realistic, sustainable boundaries at home.
