TanenbaumCHAT is powered by the generosity of our entire community.
This week Tanenbaumchat celebrated Ivrit week with a variety of engaging and meaningful activities focused on the Hebrew language. On Tuesday, students participated in an Eliezer Ben-Yehuda–themed scavenger hunt, where they learned about his role in reviving the Hebrew language through interactive stations led by the Israel Council. On Thursday, the Hennick Family Atrium was transformed into “Café Eliezer,” a retro-style café inspired by the era of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda. The space came alive with Hebrew music, student performances, and small Hebrew language activities at each table, all while students enjoyed גלידה (ice cream), a word famously coined by Ben-Yehuda himself.
