TanenbaumCHAT Tuition Accessibility Program

The TanenbaumCHAT Tuition Accessibility Program (TTAP) is designed to enhance financial accessibility to TanenbaumCHAT and help address the financial burden faced by many Jewish families in providing their children with a Jewish day school education.  It offers tuition relief to families with incomes between $150,000-$350,000 who would otherwise not qualify for assistance.

TTAP is supported by ongoing and robust fundraising through our Powering TanenbaumCHAT annual campaign.

How does TTAP work?

TTAP determines a discount based on total household income and the number of children enrolled at TanenbaumCHAT.

  • Families with gross income between $150,000-$249,999 will be eligible for a 10% tuition discount for their first child and a 15% discount for their other children who are enrolled concurrently.

  • Families with gross family income between $250,000-$350,000 will be eligible for a 5% tuition discount for their first child and a 7.5% discount for their other children who are enrolled concurrently.

Important

  • TTAP does not replace UJA's Community Scholarships program for which  families earning less than $150,000 may be eligible. Applications for UJA’s Community Scholarship program are available online now and will be processed in the winter of 2024, for the 2024/25 school year. Please note that if the financial needs of your family exceed what is offered through our TTAP program, you should apply for the UJA Community Scholarships program regardless of your income level.

What makes TTAP different from the UJA’s Community Scholarships program?

Both programs are designed to enhance financial accessibility to the school. TTAP has been established by TanenbaumCHAT for families who are not eligible for UJA Community Scholarships, and is fully funded by the school and by donors to our annual campaign.
